‘Web 2.0′ Declared Millionth Word In The English Language

by Greg Bussmann on June 9, 2009

It does not seem to me that ‘Web 2.0′ is technically a word, but regardless, my opinion was not solicted.  ‘Web 2.0′ became the millionth word in the English language at 5:22 am on Wednesday June 10th, 2009.

There are lots of interesting fact in the article, but the one that struck me the most was how many other words that were considered had something to do with new technology, “words” like ‘cloud computing’ and ‘n00b’.

At any rate, i just thought that was an interesting little nugget.
