New Facebook App Helps You Find Ways To Volunteer

by Greg Bussmann on September 12, 2009

All For Good is a new Facebook application that helps you find volunteer opportunities in your area. The app comes from Serve.org and was released in conjunction with the official proclamation by President Obama of 9/11 as the Day of Service and Remembrance.

The application allows you to tell it what area of the country you want it to search for volunteer opportunities in, and it will also look and see what other people in your network are doing.

I tested it briefly for the St. Louis area, and found the results a little spotty so far, but being that the application is so new, I think it is worth sticking with if you are inclined to offer your time as a volunteer.

You can find the app here.

  • There are some web sites that have decent volunteer searches. I wonder if this is directly affiliated with any of those or is an upstart?

Best of luck to them either way.
