LinkedIn For The iPhone Gets a Major Facelift

by Greg Bussmann on December 29, 2009

If you are a LinkedIn user, and you have an iPhone, you are going to want to check out LinkedIn’s updated version 3.0 iPhone app. The app has undergone a major overhaul, and I can’t find anything not to like about it. The developers appear to have borrowed liberally from the Facebook for iPhone app in terms of the design, but I suppose if you are going to borrow from someone, that is a great place to turn, as the Facebook app is one of the best around.

At any rate, I won’t ruin the fun of finding all the new features for you, but here is a look at the highlights, starting with the new homepage layout.

As you can see by the options, there is not much functionality from the website missing here. There is even an option to make a connection ‘in person’ using bluetooth. Here are a few more screenshots to look at before you go grab the download yourself, for which there is a link to at the end of this post.

You can change the theme, although that really only means that you can change the color:

Here is what it looks like in red:

And here is a look at the new status updates screen:

And here is the LinkedIn version 3.0 download link.

Have we connected on LinkedIn? If not, here is a link to my profile.
