BarCamp St. Louis 2009 – New Event

Mark your calendars now for Barcamp St. Louis, taking place the weekend of November 7th at Washington University.

Never been to a barcamp? Wondering what they are?

Here is how the event describes itself:

Bar Camp is an ad-hoc technical gathering for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.  Think of it as a free-form 2 day conference that is actually led by the participants.  The general idea is to transform the traditional conference from a spectator sport to a participant sport.  There is no set technology or subject matter, so bring what you do best to the event as a presentation about your passion!

If you still need more convincing, how about this: the event is free.

But you do need to register. Find the link to do so on our calendar. There is a ton more information about the event as well at that link.
