All Kinds of Twitter Issues Today

by Greg Bussmann on November 11, 2009

Another day brings another round of issues for Twitter…this is becoming a theme, isn’t it?

The more serious of two big issues today is the continuing problem of the Direct Message spam attacks.

You should continue to avoid direct messages with fishy looking links to things like i.q. tests, quizes, etc. If you do click on one, change your password as soon as possible.

It is unclear how much actual danger these direct messages pose, but the annoyance factor is pretty high, and getting higher all the time.

The other big issue for Twitter today was the “recall” of the new native retweet feature due to some programming bugs. The rollout was halted, and those that already had it saw the feature removed.

Twitter promises to get it all straightened out as soon as possible.

If you have any additional information on these issues, please leave us a comment.
